School Meals
As a precaution and for the safety of our children with known and diagnosed nut allergies, we are a
NUT FREE School
In School we check all our ingredients for Breakfast, Lunch, After School and Enrichment Activities.
We ask that you do not send any child to school with peanut butter or Nutella sandwiches or any nut snacks.
We trust that you can all support us in this.
School Lunches
School dinners for children in Reception, Class 1 and Class 2 are free, funded by the government (UIFSM-Universal Infant Free School Meals). We are very proud of our super school meals.
We work really hard to provide a nutritious and delicious selection of food every day. I would encourage all children to have a free meal at lunchtime instead of bringing a packed lunch.
For children in Years 3 & 4 the price for school dinners has been increased and is £2.60 per day / £13 per week / £98.80 for the September/October half term
Payment for school meals will now be on School Money This will be updated weekly to record the meals that your child has had. You can make payments weekly or you can add money to your account and check your balance. Any money which has been paid into the bank account has been added to your school money accounts. If you have any queries, please contact the school office.

Parents are invited to sample the school meals on a regular basis and here are some of the comments left by parents:

Packed Lunches
Packed lunches should be as nutritionally balanced as possible. Drinking water is provided. Lunch boxes should be clearly named. We are unable to provide refrigerated storage for lunch boxes and encourage parents to pack ice packs in their child’s lunch-box during the warmer weather.
*No glass containers or products containing nuts of any kind (Nutella etc), please"
Snacks
Children in Reception, and Years 1 and 2 are provided with a piece of fruit daily as part of the Government's ‘School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme’. As a school, we have decided to extend this scheme and provide a fresh fruit snack for Classes 3 and 4, paid for by us. Please do not send in any other snack.
If your child would like to have milk at school, you may purchase a 1/3 pint (189ml) carton of milk per day from ‘Cool Milk’ please see their website (www.coolmilk.com) for details on how to register.
Children are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle to school daily (plain water only please, NO juice or squash) - these can be refilled from a jug in each classroom or by the Water Mains Dispenser.
