Parents' Association

Heathwood Lower School has an active, supportive Parents’ Association, which raises funds, as well as promoting a warm, friendly atmosphere for families.

Events such as the Christmas Bazaar, Quiz Evenings and discos are organised and well-attended. You'll find updates of these events, including pictures from past events, under the 'news' section of this website. Many items in and around the school have been purchased by the Association including computers, playground and classroom equipment, playhouse and technology equipment. Recently the Parents’ Association has provided a solid wood gazebo for the playing field, and will soon be finding an environmental garden, designed by the children, also in the field.

We are always grateful for the support that parents give at our fundraising events. The Association holds an Annual General Meeting, usually at the beginning of the school year, and new committee members are elected at this meeting. However, new members are welcome at any time and we are always keen to see new faces and receive new ideas.  If you’d like to get involved, please contact the school office.
