Andrew Cope the author of the Spy Dog and Spy Pup series of children's books visited Heathwood with Lara the Spy Dog to talk to the children about his books and being an author. He set the children a task to write the first chapter of a new story called 'Spy Gorilla' and asked some of them to read out their stories at the end of the day. The children were really enthused to write and produced some lovely stories.
