MATCH NEWS
It was trophies all-round last Saturday when all 3 Heathwood Harriers teams played brilliantly at the Dovery Down footbal tournament.
The Harriers, looking smart in their new team kit, compted against 5 other local lower schools; Southcott, Greenleas, Pulfords, Linslade and Dovery Down.
All 3 teams reached the finals, and with a win from year 1 (supported by 2 class R players!) there was plenty to celebrate.
A big thank you goes to Simon and Rob for all the time and effort they put into Saturday morning training sessions and arranging the Harriers' attendance at football tournaments. The Pulfords tournament takes place on Saturday 21st May at Leighton Middle School, all supporters are welcome!
On Saturday March 12th the Heathwood Harriers played a friendly against Pulfords, the results are as follows:
Year 1 (including two players from class R – Hamish Robertson and Sam Humphrey)
Heathwood 13 Pulford 1
Year 2
Heathwood 4 Pulford 1
Year 3 & 4
Heathwood 4 Pulford 2
Refreshments, cakes and hot dogs were provided for spectators, making a profit of £108. A massive ‘THANK YOU‘ to everyone who helped out, in particular, Sharon Robertson and Jo Humphrey, this will go towards providing new football kit and a set of new goals.
