Spring 1st Half – Term 2012

Week 1
Create your own timeline of history – include as many of the different periods in history and as much detail as you can. You can represent the timeline in any way you like – it does not have to be on a straight line – be as creative as you can.
Week 2
The Tudor Rose was the emblem used to represent the Tudor period of history. Create an emblem to representEnglandtoday.
Having drawn your emblem, write a short explanation as to why you have chosen to representEnglandin this way.
Week 3
Create a Tudor family tree – can you remember all of Henry’s wives?
Week 4
Create your own family tree. How does it compare to the Tudor family tree?
Week 5
Imagine you are Henry VIII. Write a diary entry for a typical day. Remember the features of diary writing and the type of things Henry VIII would have done in a day.
Week 6
Knot Garden – see what you can find out about Knot gardens in Tudor times. Have a go at designing your own know garden on paper. If you feel really adventurous why not try growing your own miniature knot garden?
